As a first-time user of Home Support services, understanding fees and charges can seem overwhelming. At Southern Cross Care, we're here to help by explaining our fees, and the fee-support available via Australian Government home support programs and packages.

Australian Government funding

The Australian Government offers a number of home support programs and packages to help people access the services they need in their own home. 

These programs and packages provide a subsidy to approved providers to coordinate and provide the services needed by older Australians.

As an approved provider of these services, you can call Southern Cross Care on 1800 852 772 and we can help you to access these programs and packages. Here's how:

  1. We can talk to you about your situation and your needs 
  2. We can discuss your potential eligibility for Government support
  3. We can register you for Government programs and packages. This registration service is free.

Once you are registered, your eligibility for Government support will be assessed. This may include a face-to-face assessment with a trained Government assessor.

Pending the outcome of this assessment, our team can provide you with more details on service fees and help you to set up a personal budget. We also use clear, easy to understand forms to show you how much money you have allocated, and then how much you may need to contribute.

We charge a monthly administration and advisory fee, and send you a monthly statement, showing you how much was spent each month, what it was spent on, and how much money is remaining.
