Southern Cross Care's journey across communities

At Southern Cross Care, we acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands upon which we operate and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Southern Cross Care engaged talented Ngarrindjeri artist, Jordan Lovegrove, to create a custom artwork representing the journey and growth of our organisation. The artwork acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands where Southern Cross Care provides services and honours the organisation’s focus on connection, care, and supporting older people to be Better for life.

Connecting our communities

The three large meeting places represent Southern Cross Care’s presence from beginning in South Australia to reaching and supporting communities in the Northern Territory and Victoria.

The large journey line that connects the large meeting places symbolises the organisation’s expansion and evolution over time. Smaller meeting places represent each of Southern Cross Care’s guiding values of Service, Courage and Compassion.

The Southern Cross stars highlight the organisation’s name. The surrounding patterns represent the diverse landscapes and communities we walk alongside, while the background dots represent the people and lives we impact.

The two symbols within these dots represent our quality aged care, health and retirement living services, reflecting our commitment to supporting people at all stages of their ageing journey.
