David Moran has more than 20 years of executive management experience in retirement village living and aged care, and has been with Southern Cross Care since 2011. This includes working in development, acquisition, management and consulting with Adelaide Bank and Primelife as well as a senior executive role with another South Australian not for profit aged care provider where he led their expansion into Victoria. He has also participated extensively with industry representative bodies Aged and Community Services and the Retirement Living Council of the Property Council.
Being a Property Valuer, he holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Property Resource Management (Valuation) and is an Associate of the Australian Property Institute.
Completing his Accounting Degree at the University of South Australia, Antony also holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment, specialising in corporate finance, valuations and mergers and acquisition.
Antony has over 20 years of commercial and financial experience, from accounting and financial reporting, to progressing into a broad-based commercial roles within the manufacturing, mining, electricity and water industries. He has worked in Sydney, the UK and the Middle East, reported to many company Boards and held the office of Company Secretary.
More recently he has assisted organisations, such as Southern Cross Care SA&NT with contractual negotiations, bidding for Public Private Partnership projects, procuring debt and equity, tax structuring, and mergers and acquisitions.
Antony is a CPA and registered chartered secretary.
Jo has significant aged care and management credentials from a 25 year career within the aged care industry which spans companies such as ACH Group and Lutheran Homes. She has also had close involvement with a range of policy issues affecting the aged care sector as an advisor to government departments and as a member of aged care sector reference groups and programs.
In addition, Jo has travelled the world studying and presenting papers at international forums on a range of matters pertaining to best practice in care and support for older people. As well as holding a Master’s Degree in Nursing in which her principal area of study was “Transforming Leadership in Aged Care”, Jo is in the process of completing her Doctorate of Public Health in which she has been studying the integration of healthy ageing into the management of residential care services.
John has over 25 years experience in the Banking industry and most recently was in charge of Bendigo Bank’s National Retirement Living & Aged Care team as well as the SA/NT Business Banking division.
John was educated at St Michael’s College Henley Beach and University of SA (Business/Property).
John’s experience in assisting organisations to successfully achieve their growth ambitions will greatly assist Southern Cross Care moving forwards in line with the organisations Better for 2020 Strategic plan.
As the Director Workforce at Southern Cross Care, Steve McCallum steers one of South Australia’s largest workforces, covering human resources, workforce development, workplace safety and injury management. As a member of the Executive team, he is committed to our core values of care, communication, creativity and teamwork providing the foundation for an integrated and committed culture that empowers and enables health for all.
Steve commenced his time in the workforce with Top Australia (agricultural chemicals and fertilisers) in Operations, and then moved into Human Resources being appointed as Employee Relations Manager. From there he joined Faulding (healthcare/pharmaceuticals) as Employee Relations Manager and Divisional Human Resource Management, followed by taking on international responsibility as their Group Executive Manager Human Resources when he lived and worked in the USA for some time. Returning to Australia, Steve moved to Michell Australia (wool/leather/commercial property) as Head of Human Resources, and then to WorkCoverSA (workers compensation/rehabilitation) as General Manager Human Resources.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts (Social Sciences) and Bachelor of Business (Human Resources/Industrial Relations) and an MBA.
